Was a noted Maori politican and council of the Native Land Court. His most noted political achievement was his contribution to Te Kotahitanga, the Maori parliament movement. *** Rare Maori Tobacco Pipe with carved naturalistic face with full facial moko, tiny paua shell eyes, carved ears with earrings attached and a pipe in the mouth.
