*** Queen Anne Walnut Bureau with fall enclosing a fitted interior and secret sliding panel. The drop front desk is wider than the bureau which was common in the late 17th century Cross banded decoration throughout and sitting on bun feet (which may have been replaced over the years). *** A Top Quality George I Walnut Kneehole Desk with brushing slide (dressing kneehole). An unusual and rare feature is that the centre cupboard can be pulled forward to come flush with the drawers. The top edges have no "overhang", it has a flush or "caddy top" which makes the piece of furniture appear smaller. Drawers are lined in oak, the top is quartered with herringbone inlay around the drawers. Good rich dark honey colour richness overall. H.… ***
